We provide over 10 activity areas during each school session. This enables the children to achieve every area of the national curriculum and make learning fun!
Home Corner - Provides various themes changed weekly from the kitchen, police station, fire station, doctors, classroom, dressing up... etc
Various Learning Centres - Activities include puzzles, writing, maths and manipulatives, sensory play, craft, small world and construction, which includes cars, duplo, farm, castle, etc. Children are free to access all resources
Easel - Available every session rotating various activities painting, crayons, chalk or pens.
Book Corner - Available every session with bean bags and sofa for quiet reading.
Computer - Various educational games available.
Physical Activity - We do have an enclosed out door area where children can play, weather permitting. We also have an indoor area with activites from basket ball, trampoline, balance beam, bikes, music and movement, tunnel and more. Children can move freely between outdoor and indoor activites.
The playgroup also provides a cloakroom and toilet facilities which are easiliy accessible for the children.
To ensure children's safety, the outer door is locked during sessions, the gate to the garden is double locked and a member of staff is outside at all times. Access from the office area and kitchen is blocked off with a door and stair gates
